Self-Management of Chronic Pain
Self-management programs for chronic non-cancer pain
A systematic review to assess the characteristics and impact of existing self-management programs for chronic non-cancer pain. This systematic review is embedded in a capacity building approach that involves students, trainees and knowledge users in a self-paced systematic review training.
Findings from this systematic review will help stakeholders involved in the Quebec Pain Research Network to identify existing pain self-management programs and disseminate them to patients and health professionals. It will also inform stakeholder decisions on whether to create new self-management programs or adapt and promote existing ones.
Policy briefs will be produced both in French and English. Results will also be published online and will serve as a basis for developing other related knowledge transfer products in subsequent years.
