Experiences in Palliative Care: Home vs. Healthcare Settings

Patient and family experiences with palliative/end-of-life program at home or at a healthcare facility.

This contextualized knowledge synthesis project aims to evaluate the experiences of patients and families who use palliative or end-of-life programs for a death at home compared with the experiences of those who use services within a healthcare facility.

Findings from this evidence synthesis will provide the Newfoundland Health System with recent, and up-to-date information on the topic. The evidence will inform improvements to policy and practice in the care of patients at end-of-life in Newfoundland & Labrador.
