Andrea C Tricco, PhD, MSc
Dr. Andrea Tricco holds a MSc in Epidemiology and PhD in Population Health. She is a Scientist and the Executive Director of the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, St. Michael’s Hospital, Unity Health Toronto. She is a Professor at the University of Toronto in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health & Institute of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation. She is also an Adjunct and Associate Graduate Faculty with Faculty of Health Sciences at Ontario Tech University. She is Co-Editor in Chief of the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology.
Dr. Tricco’s research interests are related to responding to decision-makers (including policy-makers, healthcare providers, and patient partners) through knowledge synthesis. Her research focuses on advancing the science of knowledge synthesis and she is leading research projects related to rapid reviews, network meta-analysis, and scoping reviews. She currently holds a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Knowledge Synthesis for Knowledge Users and has been recognized as one of the most highly cited researchers in the world.

Étienne Langlois
Dr. Étienne Langlois is an epidemiologist specialized in maternal and child health, health systems research, knowledge translation and evidence synthesis. Trained in medicine, global health and epidemiology, he brings to PMNCH his experience in public health interventions and research, with a strong focus on evidence-based interventions to enhance women’s, children’s and adolescents’ health (WCAH) and equity.
For PMNCH, Étienne leads the Knowledge Synthesis team and manages the portfolio of work on WCAH evidence and knowledge, aiming to synthesize, translate and make accessible vital research and evidence on WCAH. He has published more than 40 scientific papers and edited several World Health Organization (WHO) publications, yet his proudest achievement is being a father of two wonderful children.

Mira Johri
Mira Johri, PhD MPH is Professor in the Department of Health Management, Evaluation and Policy at the School of Public Health, University of Montreal, and Principal Scientist at the University of Montreal Hospital Research Centre (CRCHUM).
Dr. Johri’s research explores the social and structural determinants of global child health, with a focus on equitable access to childhood vaccines globally and in India. Mira studied economics, ethics and political philosophy (theories of justice) at McGill University, and public health (quantitative methods for programme evaluation) at Yale University. She has served as Consultant in the Department of Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health at the World Health Organization (WHO), Independent Expert to the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI), Chair of the Independent Evaluation Panel at the Global Fund, and Independent Expert to Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, where she has held various roles for more than a decade. She currently serves as member of the global Immunization Equity Reference Group (ERG) convened by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and UNICEF. Mira’s research has appeared in high-impact journals such as The Lancet, The Lancet Global Health, BMC Medicine, and the Bulletin of the World Health Organization.
As a researcher, Mira’s goal is to do applied work that is anchored in field realities, useful to communities, and informative for policy and practice. Notable contributions include co-leading a prevention of mother-to-child HIV transmission demonstration project in Guatemala from 2004-2009 that was subsequently scaled, research cited by the President of Burkina Faso to inform a national policy change on user fees for child healthcare, and active engagement to shape the global policy dialogue on immunisation equity with Gavi and partners. Mira been leading field research on immunization and child health in rural Uttar Pradesh, India since 2012. In 2020, the team became an official Indian not-for-profit organization, Raah Health and Social Development Foundation www.raah.global, whose mission is to accelerate health equity in rural India through community-driven innovation. Mira was honoured to receive the national Vic Neufeld Mentorship Award from the Canadian Coalition for Global Health Research (2020), the Innovation in Science and Technology Award from the Drishti Media Group (2021), the faculty Research Excellence Award from the University of Montreal’s School of Public Health (2022), and the Exceptional Contribution Award, University of Montreal (2025-2030).
