Janet Curran is a Professor in the School of Nursing at Dalhousie University and a Research Chair in Quality and Patient Safety at IWK Health, Nova Scotia Health and Dalhousie University.

She is the Scientific Lead in the Strengthening Transitions in Care lab at IWK Health where her program of research is focused on co-designing and evaluating best practice and policy change interventions to improve transitions in care for patients and families. Her co-design work is informed by collaborating with multiple stakeholders including patients, parents and caregivers, healthcare providers, and policy makers.

Leah Boulos

Leah Boulos is a health sciences librarian specializing in evidence synthesis. At the Strengthening Transitions in Care (STIC) Lab, Leah is the Program Manager for the Emergency Department Patient Activated Transition from Care to Home (ED-PATCH) Project and helps manage the lab’s evidence synthesis projects. She received her Master of Library and Information Science from Dalhousie University (2016) and previously worked at the Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit as their Senior Evidence Synthesis Consultant. Leah also holds a Bachelor of Music in piano from Mount Allison University (2010).

She spends most of her free time chasing after her two young kids.
